Shatter collisions problem...

I try something like this…

(the shatter & collide part)

my shatter looks nice, I add a gravity field to my shards and test it! (nice it falls down).
Make a ground plane, and make it passive. turn on the collisions.(shards)
Then it goes wrong! takes long time to calculate the fall.

I know this is the wrong way to do this! how to do this??
some tutorials??
