Ive looked endlessly and have no clue how to fix this. When I create a curve and then apply the Curve Flow effect, the particles are created at the scene origin and not the curve itself. Is this a bug with Maya 2009 Unlimited on Windows vista 64 bit? It works good on Maya 2008. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Edit:  Anyone?

Alex

try this..... create a curve.create an emitter. make the curve as a goal for the particles with goal weight of 1. select curve. go to ‘edit curves-rebuild curves-options’ in ‘surfaces’ module.make sure ‘parameter range’ is set to ‘0 to 1’.
open particle attr. editor. add a dynamic attribute called ‘goal U’ to the per particle attribute.then right click on the ‘goal U’ attribute and create a ramp. edit the ramp as u would need it....that’s it… you got particles flowing alon a curve (path)....hope this helps you my friend...pl reply....

Will try by tomorrow. Wierd though, as It was as easy as just selecting the curve and applying the curve flow to it in previouse versions of maya. THX! :)
