Hi,
I’ve been trying to make different types of exhaust/ fire and smoke for the last week and its been driving me nuts.
What I am looking for is this...i saw a picture that was produced with the Fume plug in for MAX or something similar.  The flame consisted of what appeared to be a particle emitter that the lower portion was the bright flames the mid section was half flame half smoke and the top portion was all smoke.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make this particular shadding effect on a particle emitter?
thank you

...it would be helpful to see what you’ve got so far so we have something to offer suggestions on.
For matching FumeFX though - definitely go with a fluid simulation.
