Imagine a sphere with an inner and outer wall (a sphere with thickness, basically).  Now imagine that fluid is contained in the space between the inner and outer wall, with a comparative density of 100% at the inner wall and 0% at the outer wall?

I want to know if such a feat is possible to create using Maya fluid effects.

In addition to this I would need a second thick sphere container just like the other one, but with the density gradient reversed.

I’m unfortunately very inexperienced at fluid effects in Maya other than making pretty clouds by manipulating presets; I have no idea where I’d even start with this problem.

If it’s not possible then let me know as well - I’ll try other solutions to yield the same final image.  I’m using Maya 2008 but may be switching to 2009 64-bit.

Thanks ahead of time!

i dont think that would be possible. but u can create a sphere kind of fluid, by changing the density in Contents method to gradient and and playing with the opacity.. u can easily get a hollow in the middle with the opacity ramp. hope that should solve ur problem.
