Fur dynamics seem to be disabled by fur maps

For some character i am using for a short film, I used fur lenght, polar, baldness, roll, inclinaison and clump maps to customize him a haircut.

I then created hair system nurb curves to add some dynamics to the fur.

When I come to assign hair system to fur, hair follicles respond perfectly, but the fur stays static. However, it works with fur which has no maps.

Seems the fur maps are blocking the dynamics from working. Is there a way to go around this?

Is it possible to bake the attributes maps to a fur preset? Please help me!
