hi guys,
i just want to know why does the maya particle cache does not show the frame numbers of the timeline instead showing its own arbitrary sequence.i have my timeline from 1-200 but the cache which i am making starts like particleShape1.240.pdc,particleShape1.480.pdc and so on,its been a long time since im finding a specific reason to why this thing happens but couldn’t find one.does anybody has an answer to this.

cheers
Karan

It’s because Maya’s atomic unit of time is 6000 ticks per second.

You’re running at 25 fps, which is 6000/24=240 ticks. See http://thnkr.com/wiki/index.php?title=Tick
