Hi dear Area-peoples.

I have a serious problem with Maya2011 and nParticles.

I have a setup where a emit nParticels from a surface. I have made
the setup so that I control the particles movement on the surface with
goalU and goalV.

All works fine until I need to cache the nParticles - The particleGoals seems
to “pop” at subframes making it impossible to achieve the affect I want.

What is wrong? is it a bug??

Any help would be much appriciated.

Cheers

Erik

Hi Erik

Is it possible to post the file or a simplified file that shows this problem?  I’m doing a very default setup and I’m not seeing any ‘popping’ when I cache out my nParticle/Goal.

Also, feel free to email me offline at tim.wong at autodesk.com.

thanks
