Maya official document provide some tips for using nCloth that titled with “nCloth tips and troubleshooting”, in Tips page some words confuse me:

Space scales
* World space takes into account the size of objects. For example, large objects stretch more.
* Local space handles scenes with differently sized objects well.

I don’t see any option or attribute in nClothshape node or nucleus node that can set something to Local or World,am i missing anything?

And below Space scales issue is the performance issue, i got question about increasing “number of Substeps” or “number of iterations” can speed up the simulation. Since increasing these number would increasing calculation times, how could it be faster rather than “accurate bu slower” ??

Can anyone help explain these issue more clear? thanks a lot !!

the attribute you are searching for is called “Scaling Relation” under Dynamic Properties tab. It has 3 options Link, Object and World Space.
To speed up sim, try to set Collision/Self Collision flags to vertex, or turn them off, and use Push Out Attribute instead. Also decrease substeps and iterations in nucleus solver.
