I have a question about referencing nCloth in an animation. I have an animated file which references a file with a rig setup with nCloth. In the referenced file, I have input attract weights painted by vertex. However, the animated file doesn’t seem to pay attention to the weighted painting by vertex of the referenced file. Also, in the animated file, if I select paint weights by vertex on the mesh, I don’t see a weight map and I am not able to paint any weights. I am working on Maya 2010.

Is this normal behavior? Is it possible to use paint weights by vertex for nCloth with referencing?

Thanks.

Update - I found it. It was so simple. Paint vertex weights doesn’t show up when high quality display is on.
