I want to make an animation of a stack of 50 sheets of paper flying off a desk one by one and into a fax machine across the room.

Any suggestions of the best way to do this?

I assume I start with nCloth, and I think I can figure out the parameters to give it the right amount of bend, etc.

My question is the best way to get the sheets to fly through the air in a defined path, gracefully bending as they go.

I want it to look graceful and controlled, not wild.
