Hi,

A very strange problem :

I create a particle emitter, directional, with Direction Y = 1.
Then add a Gravity Field and a plane for the ground, and make collide with particles…

Very simple and classic for making a fountain like effect…

But, very strange , when I place my plane in Y = 0 and my emitter in Y = 0.1 for example, many particles go under the plane at the beginning !!! Why ?
If I set the Y = 1 for the emitter, it’s ok, but what’s happen between 0 and 1 ?

Can you explain me this ? How should I do the correct effect ?

Thanks for help !

Alain

Lower the value of the Max Distance attribute of the emitter.

But, my Max Distance is set to 0 !

???

Don’t understand…

Look at this screenshot...I don’t want particles go under the plane…

Someone told me to set the opacity to 0 for the particles with Y < 0, I think it should work, but it seems to be a very strange solution....

I’m intrigued. Do you want to send me the scene?
