Vertex 0 and soft body weight painting issue

for a poly object when converted to soft body (with duplicate, make copy soft) vertex number 0 no longer retains weight painting information and will do its own thing…

give it a try: create a sphere, make it soft body (with duplicate, make copy soft) paint the goal smoothness weights a bit and move original… vertex number 0 does not retain weight info and does its own thing.

any thoughts?
