I’ve been trying to install Maya 2010 with our Network License for a while now, and I just can’t get it right. Nonbody at our Reseller seems to be able to help me.
I’m installing onto 20 Intel-based iMacs. The server is also an iMac named “mayalab-01.local”. The server starts fine and from the console I can see that the license file is being read and processed correctly (I’m guessing). I install Maya onto the other machines (including the server) and give the “mayalab-01.local” hostname as the network server. When I try to run Maya I get the following error:
“A valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager.” The following error number is also issued: -15.570.36.
I’ve checked the documentation and discovered that the error number means that server couldn’t be access for a number of reasons. The server is running and is reading the license file (which was supplied by Autodesk).
Has anyone else had problems getting a Network License working on OS X?

I am having the same problem but with installing it on Windows XP. My reseller cannot be reached and Autodesk has been anything but helpful. Sure would like to get this going.
