Hi guys,

So we use Maya 2011 at work for Mac, and I’m currently building a small Farm on the side using just parts I’m putting together (currently 3 quad core to start, and then upgrade as i go).

I haven’t used Linux ever, but i have people here to support me somewhat once i get going. I was just wondering if there was a preference on what operating system version i should use with mental ray and Maya? Like Fedora versus Ubunto?

Also I only need to install Mental ray, We have two copies here at work of Maya, so my question is…

Do you get any render nodes licenses with your purchase, do you even need that? Also if you do, is this what i need to download (below)

Basically anything will help at this point. I’d love to here your opinion or any links to where i could start up..

Oh ya, I’m going to use Dr. Queue as well.
