Hey guys im new here~
Ive got Autodesk Maya 2012 and lately its been crashing for no reason some times and became really slow,I fixed that problem by deleteing the Maya folder in my documents where the projects and renders are kept by default. But then it crashes Uncontrollably whenever i click the Save As,Save,Import and Export buttons. No crash log,no error no nothing My Computer just tells me that maya has stoped working. and whenever i start it it starts off slow and it doesnt lag it just responds slowly.. HELP? I really need help on the crashing its soo bad! i cant import or save anything!ive lost 3 projects already!(1 days worth of work without any breaks D: ) PLEASE HELP.

The potential list of problems is very long, and most point to some issue with your hardware. Not enough RAM, bad RAM, not enough free diskspace, uncertified graphics card or just plain bad computer.

If you want to get a better opinion, start by telling us about it, what CPU, what OS, how much ram, what kind of graphics and the graphics driver version (’latest’ is not a usable answer).

Maya is a heavy program, it will not run well on low-end computers.

It looks like more than sufficient CPU+RAM.

But some people have had problems with drivers for that model graphics card. You’ll have to search for details, since I do not own one I did not take notes.
