Hey Guys,

many, many people have problems to activate the Autodesk product Maya.
I found so many threads about the error code 20 and it is not possible to activate the product
In my case i have downloaded the trial version of Maya 2013 and it is not possible to activate. I get still the message “The License was not obtained, error 20” Furthermore there is a notice “Environment variable MAYA_ALT_EN ignored in AdLM standalone method”.

To fix this problem i set new system variables, i deleted some files in folder FLEXnet, i restarted the FLEXnet Service, i restarted my computer, i deactivated my firewall and so on. Nothin works for me. My OS is Windows 7 64 BIT! Thank you for your help. What is more interesting is, that trial version of Maya 2012 is working fine.

If you downloaded the 30-day trial - there is nothing to activate.
Click the ‘trial’ option when the licensing screen comes up.
