I installed Maya 2012.5 x64 on windows xp 64 sp2 with a deployment I created myself. The windows account I used was Administrator. Maya works without a problem on this account. Running Maya being logged on with any other user does not work, maya hangs at startup displaying the splashscreen with “initializing maya” and a full cpu load on one core. It does not matter if the user is in the Administrators group or is restricted and if I use a deployment or install manually. I could not find any switches to do a verbose startup. anyone knows whats going on or any advice on how I could proceed in testing?
