Hi,

I am using Maya 2010 64 Bit on Linux (Fedora 12). This is a leraning edition, Maya is getting its license via a license server that is conntected via VPN.

Unfortunately, sometimes Maya just won’t start. I am starting the program by clicking the Maya icon in my startmenu (KDE), then I see the Maya icon jumping up and down (usual KDE behaviour when programms are loading) and finally...nothing happens.

Sometimes, there is an error message where it saya something about licensing issues (server not found/ reachable) although the server is connected and I can “talk” to the server using fancy Linux network tools.

Anyway, sometimes Maya does start without any issues. This happens in most cases if it is the first start after logging the user in. Ending Maya and then trying to restart always results in one of the behaviors described above.

So does anyone have seen the same or a similar behavior? Is there a verbose mode, so Maya will issue an error message everytime it couldn’t start successfully? A log file for things like that?

If I exactly knew what’s going on, it was way easier debugging that.

Mach schon Platz, ich bin der Landvogt.
