Anyone care to share their experiences of using Maya on a new MacBook Pro (or even an older one)? Performance gains or graphics issues?

I’m also wondering about differences between using the native OS X version versus using the PC version in Parallel. Obviously can do it in Boot Camp but I want to have the benefit of typical apps in OS X and a Maya install without the limitations often associated with the OS X version. If Parallel works well enough for day to day modeling then that would be good enough for me to not worry about switching a license to OS X for one laptop.

Thoughts?

Thanks for your comments.

I hear all this crazy stuff about people having problems on Snow Leopard and the new MBP with dual GPU’s.

I’ve installed Maya 2010, and Mudbox 2010, and they both run fairly well.
I have the latest MBP 15” 2.66ghz as of nov 2009, and this thread is quite old, but if its worth anything, that’s my 2 cents…
