Not necessarily so. Leopard may but also may not have the required drivers for his MBP. If the correct drivers are not in Leopard and are required, which I’m
sure that they would be, then the computer will have issues. It is one thing to downgrade an older machine using hardware where drivers within Leopard
existed. It is another to downgrade new hardware which may not have drivers at all. One of the nice things about Mac’s is proprietary hardware. Most
things just do work as advertised. One of the bad things about Mac’s is proprietary hardware. In cases like this there is no motivation or requirement for
Apple to make drivers for old OS’s to run on new hardware. Apple wants you to use Snow Leopard, not Leopard.
