I just downloaded Maya 2012 and registered it, but when I open the software, the development screens, perhaps you call them world views, are white.  I’ve looked far and wide through the forums and the knowledge base for a solution and came up empty.  Either I’m using the wrong search terms, or this problem hasn’t been faced before, I’m leaning towards the wrong terms.

Anyways, in case it’s needed, here’s the specs on my system:

Here’s an odditiy.  My laptop has two graphic cards, an integrated card and an NVidia card. If I set it manually to use either card, Maya displays perfectly.  However, if I leave it at it’s default of “Let the application choose” then I get the white screens as above.  Oh well, at least I’ve got it working.  Curious to know why the default doesn’t work.
