Hi folks!

Basically I am trying to comp a glass door in a wooden frame into a background plate and I’m trying to set up the glass pane.

I went to camera -> environment -> image plane and added my image plate.

I have mentalray on, ray tracing with all the depth limits set to 4,4,8 respectively.

I have an Mia_material_x shader on the glass and I tried all the glass presets.

It just comes out black.

One directional light, And an IBL node with reflectivity/environent turned off.

Everything else in the scene renders fine, but it’s like the glass isn’t seeing the background plate, only a black environment.

How can I get my glass to see my background image!?

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks ppl!

Also for bonus points, is there a way to exclude objects from IBL and IBL AO shadows, I went to light linking but the IBL doesn’t show up in there.?

Adam.
