It’s been a while since I made shaders in Maya and would like to brush up.
Can anyone recommend a advance book that would help someone brush up on their shader creation skills. I don’t really want to script shaders, I prefer to create shaders using the hypergraph.

Currently I am struggling with the layered shader node in maya, it only ever gets me so far.

For example on one surface we see concrete, a pool of water, grass, dirt. Each element has its own shader attributes so I would like to layer them all to one object using masks.

Thank in advance.
