Hi all

I am trying to figure out a way to make my star ship Enterprise (Green Marijuana version) have an intricate skin, see picture 1 for an example of what I mean.

I have tryed using different bump maps in different polygon faces but it still looks fake, see pictur 2. I have tried Phonge and Blinns and played around with the specularity, but maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Please let me know your ideas. I am very open to sugestions!

by “intricate skin” do you mean lots of little panels and things or more like grunge and aging?  Or are you pointing to the reflection in image 1?

also whats your lighting setup?  a key to any realistic render is realistic lighting.

Hi

Lots of little panels and things and/or the reflections (whatever I might best get away with, probably the reflections).

As for lighting, I’m open to suggestion on that too.

Thanks
