I created a plane, assigned a phong, file, etc.

However, I am trying to display my normal map, and it still just shows the plane’s grid boundaries--that’s it.

Help, please?

Thanks.

If you have properly added a normal texture map to your material, you can preview it in the High Quality viewport renderer… it will not show in the default renderer.

Make sure you have set it up correctly. You can simply connect a normal map to the materials bump attribute.

All you need to do afterwards is set the bump2d nodes “Use as” to Tangent Space.

To view the normal map in the viewport set it to High Quality as Wes mentions or viewport 2.0.

Cheers!
