Hi,

I am looking for a way to map a piece of geometry to two different shaders.  One shader is low resolution to be used interactively and another shader is high resolution used for rendering.  I want to be able to easily switch between the two.  I am exploring several options but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the best way to handle this situation.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided (I am a beginner level Maya user).

in menu

Window->Setting/Preference->Preference->Display

field Perfomance play with “Max texture display res” for bitmap textures and “Baked viewport textures” for procedural textures…
