I’ve been working on a scene in Maya 2009 with strictly procedural textures applied to an animated object and after exhaustive trial and error and research on the subject I cannot keep the textures from swimming. I’ve tried the reference object mode, and while that stops the swimming pretty well, they’re appears pops in the textures.  I’ve also tried parenting the 3D texture matrix to object parts, but it still swims.

I’d like to avoid converting the textures into 2D file textures as it compromises the look I’m trying to achieve that the 3D ones allows.

Any ideas out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
