Hello everyone, I had a question regarding normal maps in turtle. Google did not help me and I am not getting any wiser from the autodesk manuals either. I hope you guys can help! :)

I am trying to bake out a texture in turtle, with a normal map applied on my geometry. The normal map is created in mudbox, and I sculpted some grunge/scratchy like surface, on flat geometry. When I pipe the normal map into my lambert material in Maya and hit render, the normal map does appear but not as detailed as I have it in mudbox.

My turtle settings are set to max (antianalizing etc) so that can’t be it. See the attached image.

Hey,

Did you remember to change your Us As: from Bump to Tangent Space Normals for your Normal Map?
