Hello everyone. I am using Maya 2011 and I have been nearly killing myself trying to find a way to create a good looking crystal material with VRay. I need it to give out good caustics, and I also need to figure out how to give it a glow effect, and how to make it appear to be a source of illumination. I already know about the light material VRay has but I can’t get it to look like a crystal. I was able to make a decent glass looking material but when I add color, any light I use (VRay light), alters the color and doesn’t carry the light throughout the crystal like it should, but instead lights up only a small area of it. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

How about this at least. Caustics for VRAY for Maya. Then I can later move on to find glow effects and all that.
