MEL - revisions?

Hello,

I am wondering if MEL has been revised as frequently as ActionScript (FLASH).

There have been 3 versions of ActionScript. And when, or if the EMCAScript folks can
develop the next version of EMCAScript (if that is possible) there is to be a new
ActionScript, which will be based upon EMCAScript.
