I’m trying to set up a render layer set-up script that will create an override on one of the layers to render in Maya software. I figured out how to create the override (bellow) but I can’t figure out how to set the anti-alias quality to production. I’d appreciate any help on this…
editRenderLayerGlobals -currentRenderLayer chr_mattes;
editRenderLayerAdjustment “defaultRenderGlobals.currentRenderer”;
setAttr “defaultRenderGlobals.currentRenderer” -type “string” “mayaSoftware”;

You can’t set Quality directly since it’s not a single attribute; you have to set the shading samples attributes:
editRenderLayerAdjustment "defaultRenderQuality.shadingSamples"; editRenderLayerAdjustment "defaultRenderQuality.maxShadingSamples";
and also the Multi-pixel attributes:
editRenderLayerAdjustment "defaultRenderQuality.useMultiPixelFilter"; editRenderLayerAdjustment "defaultRenderQuality.pixelFilterType"; editRenderLayerAdjustment "defaultRenderQuality.pixelFilterWidthX"; editRenderLayerAdjustment "defaultRenderQuality.pixelFilterWidthY";
etc..
