Well I’m a beginner, and just want to start modeling a human character and want to ask how would i go about it.

I haven’t modeled in about 6 months now, and really just completely forgot.

If anybody would like to help me out, I tried going through the tutorials but its hard to find which goes with which and I can’t ever find the beginning to each one.

I appreciate it.

I have another question.

I’m looking for this tool,"smooth proxy” in polygon, I want to use it to view both the smooth version ad the low poly version. I saw it in a tutorial I was watching, if somebody can help me.
Also I’m using Maya 2009!

I will appreciate it dearly!

Ohh and wobbler, thank you for that response you gave me earlier ithelped alot, I’m actually getting started on it.

Edit: I figured it out!

Though I do have other question, such as for some reason I can’t get my leg to duplicate with instance and on the opposite side without me to have to rotate it.

Open the duplicate special options box and edit reset then select Instance, with the duplicate special options box still open select your object and press duplicate special/apply. Now go to the channel box (on the right) and put a - (minus) in the scale z like this Scale Z -1 and press enter.
