Hello all!
I’ve been working on an assignment, which is to model a low poly character in maya and then importing it into mudbox for sculpting. I’ve come across a problem - or rather, something maya thinks is a problem.

It tells me I have concave faces on my model which screws up the importing into mudbox. In the attached image you can see wherein the “problem” lies.

As you can see, the bottom vertex is connected to 2 more edges, and then one running into the screen which you can’t see due to the shader.

The only thing I’ve tried thus far is to box select around it and merging vertices, thinking there may be 2 overlapping vertices, but no progress.

- Is the error due to the vertex’ position, making maya think that it’s only connected by two edges?

- Is it because in reality, it’s connected by 5 edges?

- If so, how do I go about solving it, since the assignment demands we only have 4 sided polygons?

Thanks on behalf,

Happy

EDIT: Is it just me, or can’t you see the attached image? If so, here’s a link:

I suspect that hanging vertex in the middle is the issue…
Give it a proper edgeloop.

The yellow circled verts should probably be fixed as well.
