Convert Paint Effects thorns to polygons?

Hi!

I have question: How can I convert Paint Fx thorns to polygons? Becouse I have tree with thorns on twings and branches, simple pine tree. And now I must convert it to polygons, if i convert painteffects to polygons everything been convert, but without thorns.

Select all of it, then convert, or select seperately then convert.

I think, you are don’t understood me correctly. Now I know, I can’t convert “"thorns"” painteffects to polygons. The only way is to tray do a thorns by leafs with one segment polygon on branches and twigs. But finally we are In company take decision to do all shoots with trees only on Maya.

Very old topic I know but I just searched for ‘thorns’, as I want to create a gnarly tree with thorns over it.
Are there any updated work-flows since 2008 ?
