hi,

i am currently working on a project where i have to model a very old building. On many edges (concrete walls, wood… etc.) of the building there should be cracks and broken out peaces.. because its so old..can’t solve it with textures because of close up shots. At the moment I am doing it by hand with booleans and direct modelling. But i remember a script that does this job for you. I don’t need to animate these things, so no need for blast code, nima whatever. It’s just for modelling purposes. Does anyone know a script/plugin for something like this?

greets

Hi, you can try a script like fracture or try the other one on this link: http://www.creativecrash.com/downloads/search?search=fracture&x=0&y=0
Personnaly i really like fracture in some situations.

Maybe a good displacement map can do the job on your scene.
You should avoid using too much boolean :)
