I’m trying to texture an object for my maya class.
I’m using a UV technique and planar mapping my object a few faces at a time. then I’ll manipulate the UV’s and, and then add a texture.

I’ve completed a number of sections, with no issues, however I’ve become stuck. one or two of the sections are being difficult to work with. Normally when I assign a material to my section, the material appears in the UV texture editor, and I can further manipulate the UV’s to prevent stretching/squashing of colours.

however, the most recent section I’ve been working on does NOT display this image below the UV’s in the texture editor. When I attempt to manipulate the UV’s, the applied texture doesn’t move at all, leaving the object’s colour distorted. Is it something I’ve done wrong? Is there any way to fix it? Any suggestions? please help T~T
