Hi, I am new to Maya (though not new to modeling - I got very familiar with 3ds Max a few years ago) and need to create a simple model of a pool table for an animation class that I’m taking at school. Everything was straightforward until I tried to create the holes.. I put cylinders into the spaces where I want holes, but have no idea how to transform them into negative space. The boolean difference operator just makes the cylinders and table vanish completely. You can see a picture of what I have so far below. How do I turn the cylinders into negative space? Or is there a better way to approach this? Thanks
