inputs window not showing

i have a macbook pro and i am running maya in bootcamp .
when i select something , on the righ window , there should be an inputs tab under the shape tab . how do i turn the inputs on ?

I’m also having a problem viewing the INPUTS information in the Channels pane.  I’m running Maya on a Macintosh with the following specs:

Processor = 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
OS X Version = 10.5.8
Memory = 6 GB

I found the solution on another thread.  The Construction History needs to be turned ON.  For some bizarre reason this option has been turned off ever since I installed the software, and has been driving me crazy for weeks.

I haven’t been able to locate a Menu item for Construction History yet, but the button is at the top of your window, between the Snap buttons and the Rendering buttons.
