Hello! I’ve registered here because I have a question with Maya that I haven’t been able to find the answer to anywhere else. I’m a student using Maya at school and home, and my home version seems to have some valuable things missing.

This is a screenshot of the attribute editor for my school’s Maya (2011 [it’s still a 2012 related question]). It’s displaying the attributes of a newly created polygon cube I’m using for the example.

And here is one of my Maya at home (student version; 2012). It’s also a basic polygon cube.

You can see that it’s missing one of the tabs (polyCube1). This is the tab that deals with the size and divisions.

Another problem I’ve encountered (it’s really the same problem, actually), is that editing the mesh or adding something doesn’t open new attributes.

For example, I added a bevel to my cube.

I now have a new tab where I can edit the attributes of my bevel.

Now I’ve added a bevel here at home.

As you see, I have no tab for the attributes of my bevel.

I’ve tried resetting Maya to it’s defaults, looking for attribute editor settings, googling furiously. I can’t find anything on where to get these tabs back. Does anyone have a solution? It would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve figured it out. If anyone else sees this and is wondering, toggling the construction history should work!
