im new to maya and i cant figure out how to fix my gizmo on scale its crooked ive uploaded an image

Hey,

To me it looks like your scale tool is following your objects/local axis. If you want the scale tool to align with the world space double click on the scale tool on the left side of Maya and it should bring up a new window for the scales Tool settings. Choose World as scale axis. You can also change the pivot.
