Does anyone know if the clean up tool will work to eliminate double vertices ? Often when i do some extruding or maybe adding a more subdivisions I’ll get double faces or double vertices which i then have to manually merge together which can be tedious and time consuming. Is there a more efficient way of making sure the the mesh doesn’t end up with over lapping faces or vertices when modelling objects ?

sometimes, it has been a while since i used. but ive always tried to keep on top of my work anyway, like the quacks always say, prevention is the best cure, so understanding why things happen will help you act on them.
