I have a problem i’ve never had before ,i don’t know if it’s a Maya 2012 thing but here it is:

If i try to select all the vertex points of a cube for example only the ones that can be seen will be selected.By the ones that can be seen i mean the ones that can actually be seen if the cube
would be real.To select the rest of the points i have to turn the cube around and select them too. This slows me down very much.Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks!

You have Camera Based Selection checked, so what is happening is by design.

Easiest way to fix this is to double-click on the select icon (left edge, top icon) and you can change the select options.
