Hi all,
I am doing a MSc science project on 3d model of brain using MAYA 3d software.
I would like to splice (3 splices) the 3d brain vertically or horizontally..I am trying to use a polygon plane across the brain to dissect /splice brain… using boolean/intersection commands to help me with it...but it nor working....I will be grateful if someone could advice me how to splice/dissect a 3d object....my whole goal is to get access to te inner structures and vessels of brain…

Help will be widely appreciated

Maya is essentially a surface modeler. You need a voxel representation of a brain. I’d look for another tool if I were in your position.
