hi everyone
i am working with sub.d i am a big fan of it :)
anyway .. i am facing a troubles with sub.d
1st i modeled my figure then i convert it to a low poly mesh to export it to headus uv layout,
i finished with headus and returned to maya .. there i rearrange the layout by using the option (copy UVs to UV set / copy into new UV set ) to make multi map set for the low poly mesh i had
i made the whole maps in photoshop and applied them on the figure and it was successful
but when i convert the mesh to sub.d here was the trouble
after many experiments ,i relized that ( may be i am wrong ) sub.d don’t confess by the multi map set option
so my 1st ques. is there any way to solve that problem ?
another trouble : on the sub.d mesh the textures spread out the edges and stretched specifically on the faces extruded in poly mode .
i made full crease edge operation on some edges and it work ,but sometimes u like to keep the smoothness of the curves on mesh and the same for insert ring edge option in poly mode
so any way to avoid that destorion when extruding faces in poly mode and after ?
hope to get satisfied answers plz ..
