So Is there anybody who has the fix for the Bonus Tools not displaying it’s drop down menus?  It installed in a directory above plug-ins, is that gonna be problem?  Any ideas?  Would some inHouse menus stomp the Bonus Tools somehow?

Hi Colin. I have exactly the same problem except it is for Maya 2008. I have a Platinum membership which has become a Gold support membership but nobody can help me because Autodesk does not support Bonus Tools. While I can accept thet they don’t support the PLUGINS they should at least support the INSTALLATION considering that they have provided the installer program.

Yes I have. This is what I get: // Error: Cannot find procedure “bonusToolsMenu”.

Ok. I found a workaround. Here it is…

Problem: Bonus Tools does not show up in the menu after running the installer and installing Bonus Tools in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MayaBonusTools2008.

Solution: Copy all scripts from C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MayaBonusTools2008\scripts to C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\My Documents\maya\2008\scripts.
Copy all folders from C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MayaBonusTools2008\ to C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\My Documents\maya\2008\. Restart Maya.

After that you can uninstall Bonus Tools through the control panel and it will still work in Maya.

Here it is:

Problem:
Bonus Tools does not show up in the menu after running the installer and installing Bonus Tools in

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MayaBonusTools2008.

Solution:
Copy the file
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MayaBonusTools2008\modules\bonusTools.txt
and paste it in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2008\modules.
(Create the “modules” folder if it does not exist). Read the file and modify it as required. And there you have it.

Hi I just dusted off my Maya 7 and forgot how to add the bonus tools to it.  It comes in a .zip folder and only has the .rpm file in it, no installer.  Or am I downloading the wrong file?

I am using windows 7 64bit
