Does anyone know if it’s possible to export DMM pieces from a shattered object with the version of DMM that comes with 2012 or do you need the full plugin to do this?

Thanks.

You can export the pieces. Just be sure to select the geometry and export as an OBJ. You may have to fiddle around with selection to ensure you pick the geometry and not the entire DMM node.

It is not necessary to have the unlimited DMM plugin to do this.

He probably wants to know if its possible to have the animation thats created through the DMM-simulation baked onto simple keyframe animated pieces.

You know after you smash things apart via DMM its still one single shape. If you want the results in a game engine you’d need the pieces separated and animated as single solids.
