UI files loaded through cmds.loadUI and then displayed with showWindow() for some reason always force themselves right up into the top left corner of the current display, meaning that you usually cannot move them or access the controls at the top of the window.

There’s nothing I can find in QT creator that controls where a window is positioned, nor any options for the loadUI or showWindow commands. Has anyone else run into this problem and figured out a way to work around it? Its not going down well…

win = cmds.loadUI(f=’path/to/something.ui’)
cmds.window(win,edit=True,topLeftCorner=(50,50))
cmds.showWindow(win)
