Im trying to fix a spider model that Ive been working on a few weeks. Ive finaly finnished modeling and texturing, and im almost done with rigging. Im using locators to control the legs, mouth parts, and abdomen. Im trying to rig it so i can move the body (thorax, mouthparts, abdomen) up and down independantly from the legs. Ive already put all the joints and polygons into a group that seems to work fine. However, I cannot get the locators attached to the mouthparts and abdomen to join the group without their orientation being messed up: moving along an axis or rotation changes all transformation values. The best Ive been able to do is parent the locators to this central group without acutally putting them in the group through the parenting constraint. This still screws with orientation if the group is moved, and any keying applied to the locators seems to negate any control the central group has over them. Does anyone know of a better way to do this?
Just some side info, this is a model I imported from a school computer (Maya 2008) to my home computer (Maya 2011).
Also, is there a Select All command?
