hi all i am trying to rig my first ever model its a robot and im having a go at the rigging.
the problem i am having is this i have pipe that come out of the top of the arms and the go in to the bottom bit of the arm and this needs to be flexible , i have tried this way by creating a chain of joints in the place that i require them , i then attach a ik handle to em so that it can be animated from this i then select the joints and then skin it to the pipe the chain of joints is the parented to the top peice of the arm and the handle gets parented to the bottom peice of the arm.
This works to a point i get deformation when i move the arms but not enough all i really get is the bottom 4 joints deform a little and then they all pivot around the last joint in the chain i have attached a pick so as peeps can see what i mean.
any help would be greatly appreciated dont matter what it is i just need to get this last little bit done and then im finally finished and i can get on with the next model..  thanks in advance.

it`s not a good idea to use sc/rp Solver with more than 3 joints. The very basic way to deal with situation like this is to play with Stiffness attribute or to use multiChain IK solver.
