Hello, i am new on this world. I just started rigging in maya 2012. I did not find proper defination of “What is IKhandle, Rpsolver, cvsolver, Weight.... I dont understand Bind Skin, reverse foot lock.... But i know how to use them. I actually learn through varouis tutorials and I can rig Foot and knees. But i just wana know the basic definations so i can understand what is IKHANDLE Rpsolver and e.t.c I wanted to know how many steps involve in rigging a character… Thank you for your time....

then you have probably not searched well enough. i am myself pretty inexperimented, and i learn through tutorials mainly ... but there are tons of things about rigging ... if you have done the tutorials which come with maya there are actually a few definitions, although not extensive. of course for reverse foot etc you’ll need to look further. but there are quite a lot of books on the topic

im in agreement with amaurythewarrior, and mayas own online help and documentation has tonnes of information regrading said topics.
